And That Bull in Love with the Moon…

On May 19th, I had the opportunity to participate in Pablo Flores’ workshop, "The Moon: Emotions, Inner Child, and Relationships." I’ve been studying with Pablo from a distance for years, but this was the first time I was able to see him live, and it was a beautiful birthday gift for me :)

What I love most about Pablo is his way of explaining and sharing his knowledge. He communicates it so simply that it’s impossible not to understand, and I feel fortunate to be studying at his Astrotherapeutic School.

During the workshop, he spoke about what the moon represents in our lives. It’s not just a satellite up there in the sky, orbiting around us; it encompasses our entire emotional world. It represents our inner child and our maternal figure. The way it expresses itself in us depends on its placement in our astrological chart.

As the famous song about the bull in love with the moon says, I am a Taurus deeply in love with the moon. I study it, observe it, feel moved when I see it shining at night, and I even spot it during the day…

Learning about what the moon means in my life has helped me understand myself in ways I never imagined before. It revealed the emotional shields that arise when I have to relate to others, my love and dedication to study and knowledge, the anxiety I feel when sitting alone in front of a computer all day without talking, even my past inability to speak and express myself—all of this I could understand through studying my moon, and it was completely revelatory.

Since our emotional world is a fundamental part of our essence, and having proven to myself that it truly works, I’ve decided to use the astrological moon of my clients as a resource in my sessions to help them better understand themselves. What I do is work with it through flower remedies and awareness exercises, so they can begin to recognize when their moon is activated and gradually let go of those emotional shields.

Because, in the end, we are here to connect, and the goal is to build relationships from a foundation of love, not fear. So let’s lower those shields and embrace the moon as it combs its hair in the river’s mirror… :)
