Our Aphrodite Prepares to Rebirth

After months of reflection and awareness, it is time to lift the veil for deep transformation. Another transformation?

Another Transformation?

You’re probably tired of hearing the word transformation by now. We've been facing challenges for months that invite us to change and evolve. We’ve gone through an intense eclipse season and the Scorpio period, whose surname is always Intensity—so what now?

Well, yes, this doesn’t end here. Life always moves forward; everything is in motion. The universe is dynamic, not static. While we humans may take breaks at certain moments, nature doesn’t follow the same rhythm—it doesn’t stop to rest.

Cycles of Change

What’s beautiful is that we can shift our perception of this. Instead of seeing it as something tiring and relentless, we can learn to ride that discomfort and dance with the cycles, knowing when to speed up and when to ease off.

For women, it’s especially interesting to become aware of this, as we are cyclical beings, much like the moon. Just as we can observe four different phases in the sky, these phases also exist within us. But I’ll talk more about this in another article. Today, let’s dive into Venus…

Venus: The Goddess of Love and Sensuality

In Greek mythology, Venus is known as Aphrodite. She is the goddess of love, sensuality, and beauty—but she is so much more. Venus represents our values, everything we find beautiful, and how much we value ourselves. She symbolizes what brings us pleasure and joy, and our ability to attract things into our lives.

Venus is the magnetic energy that draws others to us so that we can achieve what we desire. She’s the PR manager of the Sun. She teaches us to savor life through our five senses, to enjoy our bodies, to take time to indulge in the pleasures of this world, and to socialize and share with others to be accepted.

She embodies our ability to express our artistic and creative talents, and the romance and joy we feel when we’re with another person. Venus is very sociable and seeks love and social acceptance. She wants to feel like she belongs, which makes her feel valuable. Venus, therefore, seeks to express love and sensuality in the world, to feel alive.

When Venus Is Absent

Sometimes, my Venus may not be active in my life. Perhaps I’ve neglected my creative, sensual, and romantic side, not allowing my Venus to express herself. If that’s the case, the lack of this energy can lead to feeling lost or unsure of what I want in life. It may cause a deep inner void, low self-esteem, and even make me feel as though I’m worthless or that others don’t see or appreciate me.

When Venus is inactive and unhealthy, it may lead to jealousy or conflicts in relationships, feelings of inferiority, and constant comparisons to others, resulting in insecurities and toxic dynamics.

Excess of Venus

On the other hand, if Venus is in excess, I may indulge too much in pleasure and enjoyment, becoming passive and lazy, living only to charm others to get what I want without limits.

I may also become amoral, losing my sense of ethics. If I become obsessed with something or someone, I won’t stop until I get it, without considering the consequences of my actions.

Excess Venus energy can also lead to accumulation—I may crave more wealth, more possessions, more lovers—more of everything.

Integrating Venus

When I go inward, work on my Venus, and discover all the valuable things inside me, I build confidence and increase my self-esteem. I generate abundance in my life and stop comparing myself to others. I learn to express myself from my creative, sensual essence without needing external validation or approval.

Venus Retrograde in Leo

For months now, Venus has been doing a lot of work on these issues. In July, Venus went retrograde in the sign of Leo, prompting us to review our self-respect, self-esteem, and self-worth.

You may not have noticed, but I assure you that if you take a moment to reflect, you’ll see how certain situations have led you to reconsider your conflicts with self-esteem, trust, and how all of this plays out in your relationships.

For me, for example, it was during this Venus retrograde that I started writing these articles. My Aphrodite went through many emotional tsunamis in the last few months (or should I say the whole year?). This review helped me realize how little I had been valuing myself in some areas and how blocked my Venus energy—along with Leo energy—was. It gave me the push to make changes that my body had been begging for to create new opportunities in my life.

Venus in Scorpio

This week, Venus entered Scorpio, signaling a profound transformation. I believe this period will be the cherry on top, marking the conclusion of a year where Venus has worked so deeply on us.

After undergoing a review in the past months and making changes (or perhaps not yet daring to), it's now time to lift the veil. This is the moment of real, deep change. My Venus must confront what lies hidden below and face it. She must die to be reborn like the phoenix—brighter, more luminous, more creative, and more sensual.

I always tell you that life helps us—there’s an invisible safety net that we can’t see but know is there. Venus won’t be alone in this process. Her best friend, the Sun, will help with his own review, but I’ll tell you more about that in my next article.

Transformation in Relationships

If you’ve already realized that some relationships in your life need transformation, I just want to remind you not to be afraid to let go of the patterns that no longer serve you. If something isn’t working, maybe it’s time for it to change. It doesn’t always mean that it will end, but it may evolve into something different.

The intention is to truly value and respect ourselves, and to surround ourselves with people who do the same. When we let go of the “false self,” that’s when the true “self” can rise.

I assure you, there’s something incredibly valuable and creative within you, waiting to be expressed. You just need to dare to look beneath the veil and bring it into the light. And if you can’t do it alone, remember, help is always available. There's always someone there for you.

Are you ready to embrace the transformative power of Venus in your life? Share your experiences with me in the comments below or on social media. Let’s support each other as we step into a new chapter of self-love and empowerment.
