The Transformative Power of Flowers, Part 2

In a previous article, I shared a case about the transformative power of flowers. Today, I want to share a piece of news that excites me deeply and gives me chills.

This week, I received an audio message from the mother of one of my clients. In the audio, she was crying with emotion, and I want to share it with you, not because I feel the need to, but because she has asked me to. She wants this story to help more people.

The teenager in the photo is 15 years old and is one of my clients. His diagnosis is Asperger's autism, but I prefer to say that he is a bright, sensitive soul who is simply too much for the world we live in.

The Challenge: Expressing Himself

His main challenge has always been self-expression. He struggled to interact with his peers, participate in school, and even felt stressed about going to social gatherings with friends because he would get very nervous and want to go home.

A Year of Change: The Healing Power of Flowers

Exactly one year ago, we began a treatment with floral therapy. At that time, his mother was deeply worried because he wasn’t even engaging in any activity, not even physical ones. But with the flowers, we started noticing a very positive change. After four months, he was already going out alone with his friends and wanted to participate more and more in group activities.

Today, a year later, we are moved to see him participating in a theater play, a musical, where he even dared to perform a solo and dance. I can’t say that this was solely the result of the flowers. It was a team effort: his mother’s dedication to being a conscious guide, giving him the flowers when he resisted or forgot, and his theater teacher, who believed in his abilities and encouraged him to keep going.

Teamwork: When Change Becomes Possible

This is how change happens: when one person can't do it alone, they ask for help, support, and create a network. I have no doubt that the flowers nurtured that internal change and gave him the strength to step out. But as a therapist, my work ends there. It’s essential to have a response on the other side, the willingness and desire to change and heal.

A Mother’s Joy: Witnessing Growth and Expression

At this moment, his mother is overflowing with emotion because of such an incredible achievement. It’s no easy task, and seeing her son not only willing to go out and express himself but also enjoy it, touches the heart.

Both she and I wish that all children and teenagers facing similar challenges receive the support and understanding they need for healthy development. We want them to know that there are natural healing methods beyond traditional ones that can help them achieve their goals.

The Impact of Floral Therapy in My Life

I never get tired of saying this: floral therapy has been a turning point in my life. Not only because of the results I see in others but also because of my personal experience. Flowers have supported me through intense emotional processes, provided comfort in times of pain and despair, helped me awaken virtues within myself that were dormant, and empowered me to use them.

A Path of Patience, Compassion, and Love

Healing is a journey that is taken step by step, with patience, compassion, and lots of love. And in time, the results do come...
